Our Doctors
Dr. Merin Abraham provides comprehensive, patient-focused care with an emphasis on long-term visual health. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree with magna cum laude honours from the Southern California College of Optometry, followed by a residency in primary care and ocular disease at the Eye Care Center of New Jersey.
Her clinical experience includes years of work in ophthalmology, where she gained specialized expertise in ocular disease management and post-operative care for cataract and refractive surgery patients.
Dr. Abraham sees patients of all ages and manages a wide range of conditions, including dry eye and glaucoma, using advanced diagnostic tools and evidence-based treatment. Her approach is measured and solutions-focused, always aiming to improve clarity and comfort in ways that are sustainable.
Outside the office, she enjoys hiking, cooking, and spending time with her husband and two children.
Dr. Ashka Patel earned her Doctor of Optometry from the State University of New York College of Optometry after completing her undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Her clinical training focused on ocular disease management, soft contact lens fitting, and co-management of surgical care.
She is TPA-certified and provides comprehensive vision care for patients of all ages. Dr. Patel is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the New York State Optometric Association.
Dr. Tiffany Fung provides comprehensive eye exams and soft contact lens fittings at our Midtown East office. She also works part time in a medical retina clinic, supporting the ongoing care of patients with retinal conditions.
Originally from California, Dr. Fung earned both her undergraduate and Doctor of Optometry degrees from the University of California, Berkeley. She completed a residency in ocular disease at the State University of New York College of Optometry.
She lives in Long Island City with her husband and enjoys traveling when away from the office.
Dr. James Sinoway received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University, where he graduated at the top of his class. He completed his externship at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, a leading center for ophthalmic education affiliated with the University of the Miami School of Medicine.
His clinical training focused on the medical management of eye disease and advanced contact lens fitting. He is board certified by the American Board of Optometry and maintains active membership with the American Optometric Association, The New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians, The Glaucoma Society, and The Optometric Retina Society.
TLC certified Dr. Sinoway for LASIK and PRK co-management, and he has managed refractive surgery cases since 1996. Over the past two decades, he has cared for over 100,000 patients across New York and New Jersey.
Outside of work, he enjoys time with his wife and three children, playing basketball, and reading.
Dr. Tracey Sinoway earned her bachelor’s degree from Boston University and her Doctor of Optometry Degree from Nova Southeastern University. She has been in practice since 1996 and holds memberships with the American Optometric Association and the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians.
Since 1997, Dr. Sinoway has worked closely with corneal surgeon Dr. Martin Fox, a long-term collaboration that has shaped her approach to complex contact lens fittings. Her clinical work focuses on keratoconus, post-surgical care, and high-prescription lens design. She also manages LASIK patients through pre- and post-operative care.
Dr. Sinoway regularly pursues continuing education to stay current with new technology and treatment methods. Outside the practice, she spends time with her husband and their three children.
Dr. Travis Abel earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Coastal Carolina University and received his Doctor of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University. He completed multiple clinical rotations with honors, including training at the William G. Feinbloom Vision Rehabilitation Center, where he worked closely with low vision patients.
His clinical interests include full-scope primary care, contact lens fitting, and long-term management of ocular conditions such as glaucoma and macular degeneration. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians.
Outside of the office, Dr. Abel enjoys time with his wife, two sons, and their family pets.
Dr. Sarah Munther received her Doctor of Optometry from The Ohio State University, where she also completed her undergraduate studies in human nutrition with research honors. She completed a residency in primary care and ocular disease at the Columbus and Chillicothe VA Medical Centers.
She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and a graduate of the American Optometric Association Leadership Institute. Before joining James Tracey in 2022, Dr. Munther spent over five years in private practice in Cleveland, Ohio.
Her clinical work includes full-scope optometry with a focus on ocular disease management, pediatric myopia control, and specialty contact lenses. She lives in Hoboken with her husband and enjoys travel, fitness, music, and time with her extended family.
