Dr. James Sinoway received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University, where he graduated at the top of his class. He completed his externship at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, a leading center for ophthalmic education affiliated with the University of the Miami School of Medicine.
His clinical training focused on the medical management of eye disease and advanced contact lens fitting. He is board certified by the American Board of Optometry and maintains active membership with the American Optometric Association, The New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians, The Glaucoma Society, and The Optometric Retina Society.
TLC certified Dr. Sinoway for LASIK and PRK co-management, and he has managed refractive surgery cases since 1996. Over the past two decades, he has cared for over 100,000 patients across New York and New Jersey.
Outside of work, he enjoys time with his wife and three children, playing basketball, and reading.
